About Melissa
Hey Y'all! I'm Melissa. I offer specialized consulting and speaking in the self-storage industry. I began my self storage journey as a property manager in 2008. My time in management developed into the role of VP of Operations for a 3rd party management company running 35 self-storage facilities across three states. My husband and I now own Lighthouse Storage Solutions where we offer tailored consulting services to help owners enhance their storage operations.
I also serve as the Director of both the Tennessee and Louisiana Self Storage Associations. I co-host the Gabfocus Webinar with Tommy Nguyen, and the Gabfocus Self Storage Podcast with Josh. I enjoy speaking at industry events and contributing to industry publications and am always happy to talk with owner operators and managers about their operations.
She live and work out of Chattanooga, TN, and am a wife and mother. And I love to travel whenever I can.

About Josh
I currently live and work just north of Chattanooga, TN. My primary role is the co-owner of Lighthouse Storage Solutions alongside my wife and business partner Melissa Huff. We specialize in providing practical solutions for the self storage industry, from consulting, to marketing, to web design, to drone photos/video. I also handle marketing for the TN and LA Self Storage Associations as well as The Williams Storage Group (Marcus & Millichap). In addition, I build websites and provide professional drone photography and video for dozens of other clients across the US.
I've been working in Self Storage for 3 years, focused marketing for 5, and general marketing for over 15. I'm also the co-host of the Gabfocus Self Storage Podcast.
My objectives are to serve an organization in the areas of marketing and technology so it can meet its greater goals, to equip an organization for excellence in media production and communication, and to promote the goals and ideas of an organization to their current and potential audience through technology and personal interaction.
Practically this shows itself in graphic/web design, event planning, photography/videography, drone work, podcasting, and digital marketing.
On a day off you'll find me playing disc golf, listening to music, serving at church, playing an intense board game, or playing bass with my band Backwater Still.
